Did you buy the Manuka drops like that or did you make? your own solution?
I have tried Manuka honey, but I’m not too fond of the taste. And the price for that matter. I do know of it’s medicinal use. However I didn’t know it is good for the eyes.
I didn’t know that Manuka honey cauld be used as an eye drop- I got a nasty spider bite and Manuka honey definately helped. They also use it for burn victims- one of the first times was when the Sari Club in Bali was bombed, and the survivors all? had burns.
That’s interesting. I’ve been putting the eye drops on my skin, curious to see what it will do. It’s an odd feeling, the slight stickiness (the drops aren’t too concentrated because they sting – that’s why I use them on my eyes too so Gerdie can sense that I’m sharing this experience). I imagine they would have to dilute it for burn victims as well because it becomes slightly “tight” on the skin. That would hurt if it was burned I imagine. ?
I think that Manuka? honey may come in diffrerent forms- the eye drops seem to be a liquid, where the honey used for wound care is very thick and viscous.
I made the eye drops by diluting the honey with purified water & placed it in a sterile dropper bottle. I figured that as a natural antibiotic it? would remain sterile. As I replace it I will re-sterilize the bottle.
That is really clever. What does it do? for you’r eyes?
It’s used for inflammation & cataracts, apparently will dissolve them. I don’t have cataracts but I do have sclerotic (hardened) lesions,? a part of old age they tell me. I don’t accept that & hope to dissolve them. If I can, I will have laser surgery to correct my vision (they won’t do it with the lesions because I might end up with eyes too dry). Regardless of what happens, it’s certainly not hurting & it does feel remarkably good & clean. My skin also feels like it’s drinking the honey.
Thankyou, I will have to let my Dad know about that, he has the start of cataracts? forming now.
